Another RTSP query

Hi

I have been running an RPI 3B with 9 instances of OMXPlayer streaming IP CCTV feeds; the 9 instances are loaded into separate "screens" to prevent them stopping when I close the console. This has been running without an issue for over a year. Sometimes a feed will drop but rarely.

I have recently came into possession of a RPI 3B+ and installed the latest image of Raspbian (buster). On this new device using the same setup, I cannot run the 9 OMXPlayer RTSP streams. It seems that they timeout, and then drop.

Apart from the underlying hardware, and raspbian version the only difference I can find is the OMXplayer version:

Original: Build date: Mon, 05 Nov 2018 15:45:07 +0000 Version : 061425a [master]

New: Build date: Thu, 01 Aug 2019 12:50:43 +0000 Version : f543a0d [master]

Has anyone got any suggestions as to why this might be the case? Its starting to become very frustrating as there must be a change that has resulted in this.

Alternatively, is there a way I can install the old version of OMXPlayer to see if it is this that is causing it?
