This happens for me even with all screens having the same resolution. (Archlinux)

Similar issue on Arch Linux with multiple screens, (1x1440p, 1x1080p) sometimes after unlocking the screen windows are scattered around workspaces.

I have never seen it result in an irreparable state, but windows are not always in the correct workspace after unlocking.

This happens also to me with a single monitor (21:9 3440x1440). Sometimes also an empty workspace is added on top of the workspace i had before locking the screen

I just did a git pull and make local-install and this is still an issue on a completely up-to-date Pop!OS 20.10 with no 3rd party extensions running on integrated Intel video in Wayland session. It happens every time so it should be easy to reproduce.

I have this issue as well. Most of the time the issue I have is when I have an app using half of the screen by moving it to the edge, but occassionally it happens even when I haven't autosized it.

When the computer is locked, the external monitor is in standby. I notice that after that some windows are moved in the laptop workspace. The issue is present only if the laptop screen doesn't span multiple workspaces.

This is one of a bunch of issues that sound like dupes to me. I think perhaps this issue should be closed as a dupe of the best populated one, #917 .

If you care about this issue, please go and upvote (thumbs up) that one too, so we can at consolidate our votes to show that a whole bunch of people care about this family of issues.
