Super + ctrl + left or right does not persist when changing focus window

Open twilwa opened this issue 4 months ago • 0 comments

(1) Issue/Bug Description: The half-screen tiling doesn't persist when unfocusing the window.

(2) Steps to reproduce (if you know): super + ctrl + left when 2+ windows are on a monitor, super + direction

(3) Expected behavior: The unfocused window retains it's position in the tiling configuration

(4) Distribution (run cat /etc/os-release): anon@pop-os:~$ cat /etc/os-release NAME="Pop!_OS" VERSION="22.04 LTS" ID=pop ID_LIKE="ubuntu debian" PRETTY_NAME="Pop!_OS 22.04 LTS" VERSION_ID="22.04" HOME_URL="https://pop.system76.com" SUPPORT_URL="https://support.system76.com" BUG_REPORT_URL="https://github.com/pop-os/pop/issues" PRIVACY_POLICY_URL="https://system76.com/privacy" VERSION_CODENAME=jammy UBUNTU_CODENAME=jammy LOGO=distributor-logo-pop-os

(6) Pop Shell version (run apt policy pop-shell or provide the latest commit if building locally):

pop-shell:
  Installed: 1.1.0~1702661180~22.04~8e176f1
  Candidate: 1.1.0~1702661180~22.04~8e176f1

(7) Where was Pop Shell installed from: OS install/apt

(8) Monitor Setup (2 x 1080p, 4K, Primary(Horizontal), Secondary(Vertical), etc): 2x 1080p, 1 HDMI, 1 DVI, both horizontal

(9) Other Installed/Enabled Extensions: Cosmic DE is installed but not enabled, I can't think of any others. Maybe gnome-tweaks?

(10) Other Notes: The tiling window manager is generally buggy with a few graphical errors or improper window spacing and inconsistent behavior when stacking windows, but my primary concern is this issue at the moment.
