Feature Request: bring back global stack mode
I'm not sure why this was removed but I think it was great and would love to have it back. It would greatly improve workflow IMO.
For example: when I have two tiles and I open a third, it splits one of them in half horizontally. If that third tile is not a terminal, there's a good chance I want to immediately make it full height. Unless I'm missing something, right now I have two poor options - grab the mouse and super-drag it onto the window above it, or execute the following sequence:
super-up
super-s
super-down
super-shift-up
That is a lot of combos just to combine two tiles, which in my workflow is a core function. With a global stack mode we could just do super-shift-up. Maybe super-shift-s could toggle it, that seems intuitive. I hope this helps, and thank you for adding a movement function outside of management mode making this additional QoL improvement possible.
How exactly did this global stack mode work before?
What exactly do you mean, "global stack mode" - every tile is in stacked mode always?
