21.10: Ubuntu Appindicators behaving strangely with other extensions

I have Solaar installed, which places an appindicator in the top bar of my primary display. Turning off almost any extension in the Extensions app makes a duplicate Solaar icon appear right beside it. The duplicate icon goes away if I disable and re-enable Ubuntu Appindicators.
