Dialog widgets are not losing focus when another application is opened.

pop-os: 20.04

I wanted to add a new vnc connection to gnome-boxes, but didn't remember the ip so I had to open chrome to look it up, but the "Connect to a Box" Dialog did not lose the focus and was blocking the view, so I had to close it, and than later reopen it again.

I noticed that the Dialog widgets are free to move and not locked into place on Pop, I guess this feature is causing the bug.

These short videos illustrate the bug: On Fedora: https://youtu.be/86d1Y5lofUE On pop-os: https://youtu.be/-D2-CCF618s

Thanks for reporting, but I don't think this is a bug. It's just a different default setting. If you want to set it to attach dialogs, you can do it in gnome-tweaks under Windows > Attach Modal Dialogs. 2020-05-05_12-21

The bug is not that the window can be moved. I mean the window is not losing focus when another application is opened. You can watch the video, then you will understand.

But you are right, I didn't knew that this is a setting. I will report the bug upstream.

Ah, I think I misinterpreted the issue. Sorry about that.
