gnome-shell Memory Leak

there is an issue I'm facing in multiple devices with pop os that the process 'gnome-shell' just keep growing with time till it almost consume all RAM in the device (for example it sometimes reach up to 9GB of RAM if left open for 3 days). restarting GNOME (Alt+F2 + restart) releases the memory and everything goes back to normal and very responsive.

Note: all devices were upgraded from older version of pop os '20.04 LTS' to the latest version '21.10'
