[Feature request] Global menu
Hello,
It would be nice to have a global menu installed by default. The one used on the screenshot is this one: https://github.com/gonzaarcr/Fildem

using Cosmic for a bit, but being a macOS user during daily work hours, that's my overall impression too. I've never been a huge gnome shell fan because the top bar always seemed only half utilized. I've aways thought "why not just allow quick access icons there, ala gnome 2.x, and call it a day". there's a lot of real estate just kinda doing nothing up there. granted pop_os is so awesome that i find myself not using a dock much any more, that being said, the nice part of the MacOS interface is having a dock for "secondary" quick access stuffs, and having a top bar that holds notifications, mac system stuff and a global menu for apps that allows app windows to be less cluttered. at any rate, awesome work!
For now the fildem extension offers a similar functionality for the gnome shell. It would be great to have this functionality integrated with pop-cosmic so as to have the global-menu feature.
Oh please, please, please! This feature alone will make me switch distro immediately. If COSMIC wants to become a "sane" GNOME shell replacement, this feature, coupled maybe with a proper application and places menu would make a lot of sense!
It is something I was into a while back, trying to use it on KDE but all applets that did this wasn't worked anymore. Would be great if Cosmic had this as an option.
