New tab + Minimize buttons are a bit confusing

The placement and shape of the '+' icon suggests it's related to the '-', which minimizes the window. I did not expect it to open a new tab instead of maximizing the window.:

A '+ tab' icon like in the current terminal is more self-explanatory and can avoid confusion:
