[Feature Request] Add option to keep keyboard settings (delay, rate) when switching between keyboard layouts

I mainly use two layouts, US and IT, and I switch between them pretty frequently. I also prefer keeping the repeat delay fairly short and the repeat rate fairly fast.

When switching from one layout to the other, the repeat and rate settings are reverted to default, but I don't like this behavior because it means that each time I switch layout, I have to open the settings and change them back to my preference.

It would be nice to have a setting like "Keep keyboard settings when switching layouts" or alternatively just making it the default.
