[BUG] can't change display resolution on laptop, the screen has only one mode in cosmic-randr
This is a screen on pop os on wayland, and here I can change the resolution
on cosmic, i have only one resolution to choose
and this is a screenshot from cosmic-randr
i am using in both the hybrid graphics
Maybe @Drakulix can help?
I've encountered the same issue on my machine with the internal monitor, the external one shows more available options.
Also to be noted, wayland-info (and the content of/sys/class/drm/card1-eDP-1/modes) provides 1 resolution as well (cosmic-randr being a wayland client makes sense to have the same result), but interestingly xrandr outputs more resolutions.
Maybe @Drakulix can help?
Unsure what would cause this, we just enumerate the modes from drm. Potentially gnome has some code to add custom modes or do internal scaling.
I'm having the same issue. xrandr lists a large set of resolutions, but the dropdown menu in cosmic settings only shows a single value (highest resolution for the screen)
@mmstick was this actually fixed? I'm on alpha 7 and still am seeing this.
@oscardssmith If you're still having an issue, you could create an issue in cosmic-comp to potentially add custom modes for displays that are lacking modes.
