(Bug?) Can't copy an image and paste on Firefox Flatpak

When a copy an image in COSMIC Files and try to paste on Firefox, nothing happens.

Do you mean you want to be able to copy the image and paste the file path into the address bar of Firefox? If so, this has been fixed by #737.

This seems to be an issue for browsers installed as Flatpak

Working for me in the latest (.deb) but not Flatpak of following browsers

  • Brave
  • Firefox
  • Zen

I've added a comment on the status of different browser behavior based on packages. It must be the same for this behavior. Flatpak Chrome currently does support pasting and drag and drop images.

So it would be accurate to say that only firefox based browsers in flatpak currently have this issue.
