Drag-Drop Not working

Open DarkXero-dev opened this issue 1 year ago • 4 comments

Another one for you guys.

Dragging n Dropping is currently broken, like dragging a file from files to any app does nothing sometimes bugs out. I do apologize if this is not related to files maybe shell I dunno. Move this to where it belongs if in wrong place.

  • Version/Distro I am on Arch git version commit 8668c18

Thanks

I think it does work, it's just really, really, really (and I mean really) slow:

In fact, it is so slow, I first submitted the comment with the video not attached :D

Copy-paste seems to work much better:

If you noticed that the upload in the video failed, that was probably because I copied & pasted the file I was currently recording, oops

Drag & drop tested on latest version of

  • Chrome: works for both system & flatpak
  • Firefox & Zen: works on system not on flatpak

Drag and drop from Alacritty from COSMIC Files, or GNOME Files still does not work. Expected behaviour is for the path to be written to the terminal but nothing happens when releasing the file on the Alacritty window. The same action to COSMIC Terminal also does not work.
