Add to the Edit menu and context menu. Opens the open file dialog.

Nautilus in Pop OS had it but I never used it, wouldn't it just be same as copy/move paste? Just don't want cosmic files to end up with long list of context menu items where two items are redundant (copy to & move to). I don't know how many people make use of this feature.

It's an incredibly useful time saving feature. Not having it makes moving files around a complete pain. Yes I could use the terminal but the whole point of the file manager is to make life easier. Having to have multiple tabs or windows open and dragging and dropping is a worse experience than Nautilus because it gave you the choice. The ability to type in the path with completion OR the file structure represented graphically to select where the file/files are moved to would be very very useful

Make the context menu options configurable if you want to be able to hide functionality to give customisation.

I have the same request - I've been missing this and "copy to" in the contextual menu. Really useful to the workflow when downloading files. E.g. I work with a lot of data files that come in via the downloads folder by default. Its really efficient to be able to move them to the appropriate folder without having to copy/cut navigate and then paste only to go back to the downloads folder to move the next file (different destinations). Other option is two windows open, but on my Lemur the screen real estate is small and cluttered with > windows, especially when tiling.

I just came to request it, thankfully you guys already did it. Indeed, both "Copy To..." and "Move To..." are nice little features, but make the workflow significantly pain-free. Would be nice to see them back. Thank you to the developers for considering the request!
