xwayland process has constant 5%+ CPU usage when clean installed on AMD Ryzen 5 2500U laptop

As the title says, I clean installed COSMIC Epoch 1 (alpha 1) today on a AMD Ryzen 5 2500U laptop and everything seems normal except that xwayland constantly runs at 5% or more in the background according to the task manager. It seems quite irregular and causes the fans to spin up even when just browsing the Cosmic settings pages.

I've done nothing but install the ISO just to test it out on this machine and that is the one thing I notice that stands as out as this machine usually runs Windows 11 and there was never 5% CPU usage on idle when running Windows 11.

Did you install updates? On my end, total CPU usage is <1% when idle.

Yes. What processor do you have?

I'm not seeing the issue here either. (AMD Ryzen 7 6800u laptop)

xwayland: 2:24.1.0-1pop1~1716447027~22.04~eb750bb cosmic-comp: 0.1~1727082801~22.04~afdb656

@Pentaphon after running updates on your install do you still see the issue?

Yes. It might be because my Ryzen is older.

I decided to try Alpha 2 today on an even older machine in my possession with an Intel i5-3320M and xwayland constantly idles at about 14% CPU no matter what upon first install. I get much less CPU usage from this old machine when running Windows 10 at idle, so xwayland is definitely using more CPU than it should on older machines. See screenshot. Very odd.
