Single click on title bar grabs window

Open jzetterman opened this issue 1 year ago • 7 comments

I am seeing an issue with Alacritty where if I single click on the window title it grabs the window and moving my mouse at that point results in the window being dragged around the screen as it it were a click and hold. So far Alacritty is the only application I have noticed this issue with.

Quick update, I just discovered that Slack is also exhibiting this behavior. Slack is installed as a Flatpak, but Alacritty is installed via apt.

I think this might be related to https://github.com/pop-os/cosmic-comp/issues/735. It sounds a lot like the maximize behavior Garrett was showing me.

Possibly also related to pop-os/cosmic-comp#797.

I'm experiencing this will all applications using Xwayland

I was trying to determine how I could figure that out. I was also curious if it was linked to applications that use GTK or Qt. My current list of apps is Zoom, Slack, Alacritty, Spotify, Steam, Chromium, and pgAdmin4.

You're definitely on to something:

$ xlsclients Stokkolm-PC 1password Stokkolm-PC ZoomWebviewHost.real Stokkolm-PC slack Stokkolm-PC steamwebhelper Stokkolm-PC chrome (snap) Stokkolm-PC chrome (flatpak) Stokkolm-PC steam

Interestingly Alacritty isn't in the list though.

Verified with xeyes too, Alacritty seems to be a Wayland native app.

Experiencing the same issue with Alacritty, VSCode and Chrome, but not Cosmic Files, for example.
