[Feature Request] Ability to shift panel and dock to left or right

It'd be really nice to be able to shift the panel and dock to one side or the other of the screen, and perhaps toward top or bottom when in vertical mode.

Rather than panel shifting settings, it would likely be better as a panel appearance option, where the empty panel space between segments isn't filled in (transparent). So if you want a panel on the top right, you would enable that, and put applets in the end segment. And if you want 3 mini panels at the top, you could do that as well by putting applets in all 3 segments.
