Just something to think about in the future is possibly a system monitor for cosmic :)

I personally like mission center

There's a 3rd party one in development: https://github.com/cosmic-utils/observatory

Observatory is a fork of Mission Center, it's really worth the wait!

It's not a fork. It's just inspired by it.

I would also be great to be able to put the system monitor onto the panel for easy access. Something like this in gnome: https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/120/system-monitor/

There's an applet for that: https://github.com/cosmic-utils/minimon-applet

Does someone know when that system monitor will become official ?

When it's ready.™ There are some big improvements being worked on currently, so if it's deemed good enough for a default app, then it'll likely get included as the default system monitor.
