switching between workspaces is nonperformant

In every other way, cosmic is very snappy. However, when it comes to clicking the workspaces button, it takes about 5-10 seconds to open the workspace switcher

It's not quite that laggy for me, but it does take about a second for everything to pop up, with just dock/panel and wallpaper in the interim.

It's working fine for me. Even snappier when I'm not using OBS to record
