Request - Desktop Icon Customization/Fixes

I would like the following features/issues to be addresssed regarding desktop icons:

• The ability to toggle whether on or off in general

• Padding for icons if there's a panel/dock. Right now I have a top panel that I've had to (temporarily) move to the bottom, because desktop icons are in the way:

• A slider/number in settings for determining icon size.

• Transparency for fonts on the desktop. Right now, applications have a solid color highlight for the font (sometimes the application icon as well).

The ability to toggle whether on or off in general

This already exists (Context menu > Desktop view options...), but you currently have to log out and log in for it to apply.

This is planned (see https://github.com/pop-os/cosmic-files/issues/547#issuecomment-2393989607).
