App launcher icon favorites shortcut tray thingy disappeared in 22.04

App launcher icon favorites shortcut tray (or whatever you call it)
Issue/Bug Description:
Somehow this has stopped working in 22.04. I thought I configured the settings to put the icon tray on the left side of the desktop, as was customary in 20.04. But no matter what, I can't seem to get it to come up when I mouse over all the way to the left. Same on other totally different machines.
Steps to reproduce (if you know):
I don't really know. It just doesn't work anymore. I can, of course, bring up the full app list (as opposed to just favorites), but now it's more complicated because it's organized into Home, Office, System, etc. Someone probably thought that would be cool, but most people have very few apps, so it just adds latency. Would be nice if we could turn that off, but even better if the favorites tray worked again.
Expected behavior:
Same as 20.04. Or at least, optionally so.
Other Notes:
Maybe this isn't a bug and somehow the favorites tray was just deleted intentionally. But all that accomplished is higher latency to getting stuff done.
It sounds like you're referring to the dock, which does work slightly differently on 22.04 than on 20.04. It should definitely still be showing up though. Dock settings are configurable in Settings > Desktop > Dock. I would look there to make sure the dock is enabled and configured the way you want. You might also want to make sure the "Cosmic Dock" extension is enabled in the "Extensions" application.
