Feature request: File Drag and Drop
Apologies for this spurious issue post. I have seen this request before, but not recently but seems it is fairly complex to add. Is there any chance that this feature will ever be supported? It is a habit I picked up, using the dock on MacOS, but has been ages since I've used anything other than a Linux based distro. I am also wondering if this extension will be supported long term or are System76 devs planning to roll their own Rust based dock for POP! OS Cosmic?
I am just curious, so feel free to close this ticket.

I hope they add support to this feature in coming release. This is a great feature and time saver to open projects via apps directly rather than opening window of app then selecting the directory via dialog
Thank you for the feature request. It's unlikely any large engineering effort will be put into this repo's GNOME extension fork since Pop!_OS will be moving off of GNOME and onto the new COSMIC Epoch DE (the one based on Rust).
The repository for the dock in COSMIC Epoch is https://github.com/pop-os/cosmic-panel, and the repository for the default applets is https://github.com/pop-os/cosmic-applets. (The dock is just another panel in the new DE.)
