[bug] numbered workspace-applet thinks it's on two workspaces at the same time
Numbered workspace-applet shows the selected workspace as both number one and three, while it should only display number one
Steps to reproduce
-
have the numbered workspace-applet
-
have a external monitor plugged in
-
have windows on multiple workspaces and multiple monitors
-
be on workspace three
-
disconnect the external monitor
-
the workspaces of the external monitor should transfer to the internal monitor
-
reconnect the external monitor
-
the workspaces from the previously connected monitor should retransfer back to the external monitor
-
try to switch workspaces with the numbered workspace-applet to no. one
-
no. three and no. one think both that they are the active workspace:
-
if you click on the '3' then you get the Workspace-overview, containing Workspace One's windows and those of workspace Three; instead of going to the third workspace! So the number '3' acts now as if it is the 'workspaces' button, in stead of the 'numbered workspace-applet'
It looks like workspace 3 is fused together with whatever the 'real' active workspace is.

When you swap workspaces using a different method (keyboard-shortcut, or whatever) then workspaces 3 unsticks)
I literally had the same issue again
But only when I connected to an external monitor...

https://github.com/pop-os/cosmic-comp/pull/1299 should fix at least one case where this can happen, though there may be other edge cases.
