[cosmic-applet-audio]: Volume slider capped at 100%
pavucontrol can set my laptop speaker volume to 153% (https://www.baeldung.com/linux/boost-sound-volume-above-max) and the volume slider will actually display that, but any attempt to adjust the volume via cosmic (either the applet or the media keys) will instantly snap it back to 100% and refuse to increase it further.
Well, there has to be some limit at which it would snap back to. You cannot avoid that when using a slider, it cannot go to infinity.
I would suggest to simply make the applet use the 150% max as in the COSMIC Settings, and have a toggle (default off) to have the applet and media keys go upto 150% (similar to how KDE does it).
Now that over-boosting is enabled in cosmic-settings, this is even more readily apparent.
This is being tracked here: https://github.com/pop-os/cosmic-settings/issues/484
Ah, thanks. I saw that one yesterday but couldn't, for the life of me, find this issue so that I could link to it.

This might be able to be closed. PR for applet alignment with system settings is merged. Both system settings and applet now support up to 150%. I'm not sure about hotkeys though... I ended up setting custom cmd for X86VolumeUp (or whatever it is) to achieve over-amplification and haven't pulled any recent work into my local system for awhile.
