Is this supposed to work on macOS Catalina? Version: 10.15.3 (19D76)

I tried to connect my old 13" MacBook Pro (as a secondary display) to my new 16" MacBook pro both running macOS Catalina 10.15.3 (19D76). I installed SidecarPatcher on the old machine and everything went well. The sidecar option now shows up in the System Preferences on both machines but I am not able to see any other device on neither machines. Both are on the same network. Am I missing something or it just doesn't work with this version of the OS.
