Updated to Catalina to 10.15.3 by mistake
Any chance of getting sidecar working again on my 2015 MacBook pro? Had sidecar working great on version 10.15.2 of Catalina. Ran a software update to 10.15.3 by mistake and now sidecar is gone. I tried re-installing the swift patch but it will not work. Any idea on how to get sidecar working on a 2015 macbook pro on Catalina 10.15.3? If not, any ideas on how to downgrade back to 10.15.2?
Thank you, Devin
I don't have Sidecar unsupported Mac right now so I have to borrow old Mac from my colleague next week. I can't look into this issue now. Does anyone work this patch on 10.15.3?
Hi Pookjw thank you trying to look into this issue. Kicking myself for updating to 10.15.3 :(
there's update to iPadOS 13.3.1 and I'm not going to update. I scared both update are used to prevent sidecar patch.
Anyone know how to downgrade Mac OS? I can make a bootable drive for Mojave but not sure I can find an older catalina
Quick note to say that the enabler is working fine for me under 10.15.3. I just grabbed the latest binary from Releases, backed up SidecarCore.framework, disabled SIP and ran sudo ./SidecarPatcher
. The preference pane now appears in System Preferences.
Not got my iPad with me though, so I can't test the last bit!
@pookjw I user 10.15.3 version and MacBook Pro (retina, mid 2012). The latest release work for me but I need to install the Xcode for developer, (only command line Xcode not ok).
I can connect over wire but if I went to wifi it failed.
"unable to connect to "iPad" a miscellaneous error occurred (32002)
I am pleased to connect over wire now, thank you. When you have time, can you check why wifi/ bluetooth not work. I have both turn on.
