Extension stopped working on Downloaded files
Today, when I was playing a downloaded file on my Chrome (dragged from the files app), the extension didn't work there (it was working fine until today). Although it is working fine on YT.com or some other websites.
Hello! Is this on mobile? If so which platform?

I am on a Chromebook. Let me explain to you in more detail about the problem. Suppose I have a downloaded video (Batman) opened in 1 tab and a YT opened in another tab. Although I am unable to control my global speed through the Batman tab but if I go to YT and switch to 2x speed, then the Batman will also be playing on 2x speed. So, in conclusion, I am unable to control the extension while watching a downloaded video on Chrome.
Hope u have understood the issue.
Interesting issue! A few things to try for now.
- Right click on Global Speed's icon, click 'Manage extension', and from that page enable 'Allow access to file URLs'.
- If that doesn't work, does re-installing Global Speed fix the issue?

I have already tried the 2 solutions u suggested, but it didn't fix anything. I also consulted ChatGPT about this. It told me this happened because of a Chrome version update and said some technical terms which I didn't understand, and asked me to wait for the new version update. Until then, I am using a similar extension while watching downloaded videos. But Global speed will always remain superior. Although extension is working fine with other websites.
