Exclude YouTube Videos by Title Keywords
It would be awesome to have the ability to set a default playback speed for YouTube videos based on their titles. For example, many music videos contain keywords like Official, Live, Instrumental, Lyric, or Audio in their titles. If we could exclude these videos from automatic speed adjustments by matching specific keywords in their titles, it would significantly enhance the user experience.
Currently, exclusions are limited to URLs, which can be restrictive. Adding support for title-based exclusions would make this feature much more flexible and useful.
Hello. Added support for this in the latest update (3.2.10). URL rules can now be restricted based on the page title. For youtube, the video's title is also in the page title.
- Create a URL rule.
- Add contains
youtube.comas a URL condition. - Near the delete button, click the 3 dots and select
Set page title conditions
Thank you for implementing this feature! I’ve successfully used keywords below to set the default speed, which has been incredibly helpful. However, I noticed there’s currently no functionality to edit the inserted keywords after they’ve been set. Adding the ability to remove or add keywords would greatly enhance customization and usability.
Here’s the current list of keywords I’ve been using, which works wonderfully:
Official Audio, Full album, Official Video, live, lyrics, top hits, music, Remix, Cover, Visualizer, Acoustic, Instrumental, Radio Edit, Top Hits, Studio Version, Performance, Concert, DJ Set, Album, Records, Nature sounds, White noise, Rain sounds, ASMR, Ambient, Band, Symphony, Theme Song, Relaxation, Mindfulness, Speedpaint, Timelapse, Soundtrack, Sound FX, Work in progress, Trailer, Lo-fi, Chill Beats, feat., ft., OST, VEVO, Orchestra, Choir, Meditation, Binaural, Extended Mix, Original Mix
???
@ONOVAR I'll look into adding a proper interface in the next major update. Maybe in a few months.
By the way, the keywords aren't case sensitive so you can remove duplicates (Top Hits / top hits)
@muttface21 Hello, can you elaborate on your comment?

That sounds amazing! Adding an exclusion feature based on channel names would also be a fantastic addition. This would allow users to set default playback speeds for specific channels, such as musical groups or creators who already speed up their videos.
Thank you again for your hard work and for continuously improving this tool—it’s greatly appreciated!
