Affected version

0.27.7

Steps to reproduce the bug

First way:

  1. Start a video
  2. Minimize video to miniplayer
  3. Pause Video
  4. Open video to fullscreen

Second way:

  1. Start Video
  2. go to fullscreen
  3. pause video in fullscreen
  4. switch apps
  5. return to tubular

Especially the second way, since the phone suddenly and unwantedly becomes loud just by opening the app if a video was played some time ago.

Expected behavior

Playback should only resume when pressing play. (That is, follow the appropriate setting)

Actual behavior

Playback always resumes when the player is opened in fullscreen

If you can also reproduce these steps with NewPipe could you please open an issue in NewPipe @newhinton

For the second way, yes, but the first one this seems to be tubular-only.

If you can also reproduce these steps with NewPipe could you please open an issue in NewPipe.

If this relates to upstream NewPipe code, Please do open an issue there.

This does not relate to Newpipe. The second way:

  1. Start Video
  2. go to fullscreen
  3. pause video in fullscreen
  4. switch apps
  5. return to tubular

is exclusive to tubular and does not happen with newpipe.
