Camera Scan for Polkadot Identicon on React Native

Hi,

I am looking for a way to create a scanner for the react-native identicon. Is there a white paper somewhere to explain how is generated the identicon from address in order to develop it on my own ? I will then make a pull request for you to enjoy this feature because I am sure it could be a nice feature for all react native developers.
