Currently nicks are localpart (or full matrix id). I didn't find another issue about showing displayname instead. Am I blind?

No issue exists, but there is a PR #28.

I think this issue is a duplicate of #189. This issue is older, but the other one has more info and discussion, so I'd suggest closing this one.
