[BUG] Delay / freeze when opening or closing a modal window.

Description: There is a variable input delay / freeze (1s-5s) after opening or closing a modal window.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Open the app using Chrome on an Android device
  2. Open a modal
  3. Try interacting with it, notice delay
  4. Close the modal
  5. Try interacting with the app, notice delay

Expected Behavior: No delays
