Pictograms for categories

Right now https://podverse.fm has clickable categories that are big enough to where they can scroll.

It seems graphics would do better in keeping it consistent and appealing.

Maybe someone can design something, or a good resource can be found.

Pictograms would be great for category icons. We just don't have active contributors for graphic design work...not sure what we can do about that.

Would utilizing material icons (like the ones found at https://materialdesignicons.com/) be worth doing? I'm curious if it could be implemented as a flat SVG element overlayed on top of the button and below the category text. Albeit this isn't something I could implement being a non-coder, but until something better comes along, there's probably a material icon for each category.

@eroc1990 hey thanks for the idea. I think for the category pictograms, in order to fix the background of the category buttons, we'll need larger and more decorative images than the Material Design icons. I think those are more meant for smaller, functional buttons. If you find any other libraries you think might work though please let us know!
