Garbled names of downloaded files
The names of the downloaded files are random characters, probably hashes, instead of human-readable filenames.
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
- Download a podcast episode
- Find the downloaded file in the phone filesystem
- Read the name
Expected behavior Names are the same as podcast titles.
Smartphone (please complete the following information):
- Device: Google pixel 7a
- OS: Android 14
- App Version 4.15.3
since this garbled name is the ID of the episode and is used to detect if an episode is downloaded or not, i doubt this will be changed in the near future (unless PV wanna build a cache map like I did for APM). though i believe the IDv3 info is correct so a real music player will still parse the correct episode/podcast names
This is poweramp, is still not detecting the correct names o the files.
could u share the episodes?
i tried the homelab podcast and id3 was theree a while ago. could be the podcast disteibuter didnt include any.
alternatively Mitch id prefer to bundle ffmpeg to transcode/write tags, ehich also solves the volume normalization issue
