Are you a regular user of SPFx Toolkit and you wanna help out but don't have any skills in developing VS Code extensions then this is a perfect issue for you! Help us out to promote the tool so that we may spread the word and reach more SPFx developers and help them rock 🀩

I don't see any reason why not. But before you get assigned I noticed you are already assigned to other two issues connected to promoting and creating blog post content. Could you share any update if those are already done or will be finished anytime soon? It's best to take small steps and deliver one by one instead of trying to do everything at same time.

ok today I noticed one blog post is ready on the PnP blog repo. I will try to have a read on that. In this case I guess we may get this assigned to you but please do remember you also have #367 on you as well πŸ‘

@Sandeep-FED I rechecked the blog post you added for the mentioned issue but TBH I think there is still a lot of work that should be done there. Let's leave this open maybe for someone else for now. Also I was thinking to take it in one month time if needed as I already did some progress on my side of promoting SPFx Toolkit

I hope now I can pick this one ;)

@Sandeep-FED I was wondering if you could provide some update on this? Do you need any help to get you unblocked?

@Sandeep-FED is there any progress on this issue? Would you be so kind and provide any update on that?

Adam, I was busy and inactive for the last couple of months. I have to revisit this issue and work on it.

@Sandeep-FED Let us know if you are still able to commit to this, as I suggest we either release such a blog post very fast or not do it at all for the next 2-3 months or so. TBH, I don't think now would be a perfect time for such a blog post since in the next SPFx release, the toolchain will shift to heft, and SPFx Toolkit is following this change by including npm scripts and heft tasks in the task view in the next release. That is why, if we are planning to add a blog post about how SPFx Toolkit helps with development, it would be best if we wait with the refactor and add/publish the blog post immediately after the release to keep this data in sync with the features. If we were to just describe Gulp tasks, what is described in the original issue, it would be misleading and not helpful for the users

That is why, due to the amount of time that it took to get this issue shipped and how many things changed, and still are changing in this extension, I would rather suggest NOT to create such a blog post at that point in time and instead reconsider this in 1-2 months. The initial idea we wanted to mention is already out of date, and releasing it now will also become outdated very soon.

Hey @Adam-it, since the toolchain is shifting to Heft, I also suggest postponing the release of the blog until we have the most up-to-date details. Including information about Gulp won’t make sense anymore. I’ll revisit and start working on the blog once the changes are reflected in the SPFx Toolkit, so we can release the most current version.
