Can someone please suggest if there are any plan for PNP core to release authentication module to be released to work with SharePoint high trust authentication?

Is any support for dotcore support for sharepoint on premise high trust app? Struggling to get it working with token helper seems tightly coupled with identitymodel. Is there any solution around it?
