How are you able to edit a card without opening the side panel? view-samples/board-tags/
In your example, you're able to edit the card values right from the card. When I click on anything, it opens the side panel to edit the values.
I've tried board-tags-boxes.json, board-tags-cards.json, and board-tags.json. Is there a SharePoint setting to enable this function?

@aaclage I am also facing this issue as of a few days ago. Another issue that has come up for me is that when I use the setValue capability on a customCardProp (similar to your minimize/maximize card) the "flyout" card no longer comes up after I click one of my setValue functions. So in your sample, you clicked "Minimize Card" and then immediately reopen the flyout menu and clicked "Maximize Card". I used to be able to do this same type of action - use multiple setValues in a row. However, now, if I use a setValue action, the flyout menu will not reappear unless I refresh the page.
Additionally, if I try to do a similar concept of Minimize/Maximize a card, it no longer shows up in real time. The item is updated on the list, but the card does not "refresh" immediately anymore. It looks as though the button didn't work. But if you refresh the page or drag the card to a new column, then the card will refresh and display correctly.
Are you noticing these new bugs as well?
@jphepp3 Yes it's also happening in the Left Menu dialog, but if i use the card -/+ works ok. looks to be async issues.
@aaclage thank you for the response. I'm glad I'm not the only one experiencing the issue. I was combing through my json for a few days trying to determine what changed without my knowledge.

There was a update that reverted and edition in Card can be done now.
