The "restore backup" restore point is after the prestige reset, not before
The description for the "Restore Backup" button says it will restore to the last restore point, created BEFORE your most recent prestige reset. However, (at least in the case with a bioseed reset) "Restore backup" takes you the planet selection screen and not, as I would expect, to just before you hit the "launch" button.
This is especially problematic since it's very easy on low star runs to have enough resources to accidentally click through from 0 ship parts all the way through to launching.
Are you sure that you pressed the "Restore Backup" button and not the "Soft Reset" button?
"Restore Backup" will bring you back to the time just before you clicked Launch Ship. "Soft Reset" will bring you back to planet selection.
