Feature Request

Hi Mario.

Would it be possible to enhance file-backups so that I can load my TiddlyWiki from a WebDAV location and save backups in my download folder nevertheless?

I simply tried it, not yet completely understanding what file-backup does ;)

Of course nothing was saved.

That's interesting.

I did consider some extra functionality with http(s):// TWs. But at the moment the plugin is only activated with file:// URIs.

The WebDav saver is at the same level as the TiddlyFox saver. Which is used by file-backups. ... But WebDav takes precedence. TiddlyFox has priority 1500 and WebDav 2000.

At the moment TW savers are not designed to "hand over" the event. The first one with the highest priority, that can save does it, and stops. ...

hmmm, ... It should be possible to modify the "put.js" WebDav adaptor, that it saves and additionally sends a signal to the AddOn backend. ... That's definitely an interesting request.

BUT .. no promises :)

You see, Mario: My mistake was, that I mistook the "Save" button of the settings dialog for a "Create a backup" button.

So my feature request would not be for "Save the webdav AND then do a filesystem backup". It should be something like a "Create a backup now"-button in the settings or somewhere else.

BTW: What's the dashboard button about. It didn't do anything on my firefox.

Ahhh. So I'll rename it "Save Settings" then :)

Placeholder atm. I'll probably remove it, since Dashboard isn't needed anymore. ...

But shouldn't be the backup be on WebDav too? Or do you want to have 2 different places for redundancy?

Exactly: 2 different locations.

My fear simply is: I cannot access the WebDAV but require some information from the wiki.
