How does Twidere help users preserve their privacy compared to official app? For example for Barinsta:

  • No ads
  • More privacy friendly. Specifically: No background processes without consent, no tracking scrolls, etc.
  • The app does not, and will not, share data, unless either operationally necessary (Interaction with Instagram) or with voluntary consent (Logs, as well as third-party services).

One point you can read on the official repository is

  • Free, open source, NO ads, forever!

But I cannot say something about background processes yet. You can also read that "Twidere-Android is maintained by community", but this is no guarantee for your privacy for sure. In the history of issues I found a privacy issue and read "F-Droid version doesn't contain any trackers or ads". So it should be explicity recommend that version instead of the Google Play one. Would it be okay for you to mention that, maybe in parentheses?

Thank you very much for this repository and the care about privacy! I really appriciate your work.
