(Possibly) Add IncogNET / Domain Registrar (2nd Njalla?)

Open honobo opened this issue 11 months ago • 0 comments

Service Name

  • IncogNET - Anonymous hosting (which is not so rare) + Anonymous Domain Registrar, seems to be the "2nd Njalla" very valuable existence if it works (not yet tried out personally). Accepting Monero, BTC. Less expensive than Njalla.
  • License: Not "License" per se, but apparently no-KYC. An email address is enough to sign up. Apparently Tor-friendly.
  • Why do you think this helps users privacy?: We definitely need more services like Njalla. They accept Monero too. Also, for hosting, they seem to give you an .onion version of your website if you get a normal hosting plan. Promoting .onion is obviously a good thing for privacy. The company is listed in kycnot.me too, so I think it's kind of well-known.
  • Under what section should this service be listed?: Their hosting may be good too, but most importantly as another anonymous Domain Registrar.
  • Additional comments / info: The company is US-based, somewhat iffy, not having EU GDPR. At least one page has recaptcha script, so they may not be detail-oriented - they may be thinking Google is okay. But generally, this service is looking nice, although I personally can't tell how good or how bad they actually are. There may be a catch.
