...the app site seems to be down.

It seems to be a closed-source app for iOS and Android. There are already open source options for iOS and Android. Fair privacy policies are a nice thing to have, but how do we know that the app actually follows them? Why should we add this? Is there any reason to trust them?

There is no open source reddit iOS app that is maintained (that I'm aware of), Slide got discontinued and so did beam. Reddplanet is the most private iOS reddit app that I have found.
