Add UI for direct changes to the date range
It would be really helpful to set a date range in the dashboard widget. For example a dropdown to set typical date range settings (last week, this week, last month, this month, last 90 days, last year, this year, etc.)
Do you have the “front“ side of the widget in mind with a non-persistent selection of the range? Just quickly override the preset and refresh via AJAX?
The persistent range setting is just one click away on the “back“ (settings) side.
Point for discussion might be: is there a scenario where a site administrator would want to restrict this setting and only allow a pre-configured range for a broader audience or can we safely assume there is just all or nothing for non-administrators?
