Feature Request: Include FluCoMa tools (or similar externals) in PlugData

Open aveniridm opened this issue 2 months ago • 4 comments

Hi,

I was wondering if there are any plans to include or support integration of FluCoMa tools: https://github.com/flucoma/flucoma-pd FluCoMa offers a powerful set of audio analysis and machine learning externals for Pure Data, Max, and SuperCollider, and having them available in PlugData — even optionally or via a precompiled build — would greatly expand its potential for algorithmic composition, descriptor-based workflows, and data-driven sound design.

Currently, as far as I understand, externals can only be used in the standalone version of PlugData, unless one recompiles them manually as described in the documentation. Would it be feasible to include FluCoMa (or the option to load externals like it) by default or as part of an extended build?

This would make PlugData an even more powerful environment for research, teaching, and creative prototyping.

Thanks for considering! Emiliano

What is you os ? As mentionned on Flucoma forum the 2 gui objects ( fluid.waveform & fluid.plotter ) won't work but I'm willing to take a look at compiling for linux if this helps.

Hi Kate, thanks for your message! I’m on macOS Mojave. Thanks a lot for checking — that would be really helpful!
