pdlink~ causes UDP Bind Error

When I open a script that has a pdlink~ object, there is initially a UDP Bind Error. You can see it pictured below. I run MacOS, and this UDP Bind Error leads to a cascade of CPU usage, ending in massive spikes and PlugData (or the plugin instance) crashing.
