[bug] empty object, typing [/ x] vs. chosen respectively from math collection

When typing "/" manually into an empty object box the resulting math object doesn't calculate in all cases, whereas when choosing the "/" object from the math objects list, then it does. This is probably probably a minor but, but so.

Please test in the nightly build first, works for me.

Can you give some more context is what "all cases" means? When does it work and when doesn't it, is it random?
