File browser won't show in Ardour

Environment: Pop_OS (effectively ubuntu) 22.04 Ardour 8.12 (downloaded from the website) Plug data 0.9.1 (0.9.1+git.0.ab8db68d-1) LV2 plugin.

Steps: Menu -> Open Patch -> no file browser shown.

Tried with the vst3 version, whose UI becomes unresponsive after a bit.

Setting "Use system dialogs" to "No" doesn't seem to help. On the contrary, the UI seems not to receive clicks after trying "Open Patch". I accidentally managed to make a dropdown with a bunch of paths appear out of nowhere by randomly clicking in the window.

Maybe related (but likely not, as the issue is solved when setting adour's gui scaling to 100%): the settings screen and similar windows appear like this: And are shown on top of everything when switching to other applications' windows.

This should be fixed in the nightlies, so please test the development version first before reporting such things.
