Intermittent keyboard input in Bitwig

In the VST3 and CLAP plugins in Bitwig 5.2, key input is only registered sometimes. When making a new object, I sometimes can't type in the box. In order to delete objects, I need to drag them with the mouse once for backspace/delete to work. I am not sure what triggers this bug, but it is likely a Bitwig issue because keyboard input works fine in Reaper and in the standalone program.
