patches open blank in plugdata 0.9.1 on ubuntustudio 22.04

Hi, when opening a patch or documentation example, a new panel opens but nothing is displayed. Then, plugdata seems to hang and doesn't respond to any mouse actions. I've tried removing, purging and reinstalling, but the behaviour persists. Thanks for any help!
