does pd~ open a Pd Vanilla version in plugin mode? Improve how it works on standalone or its help file
reboot of https://github.com/plugdata-team/plugdata/issues/1648
So, I see [pd~] works in plugdata, but it's not clear yet how it operates
I was able to use it and it opened Pd-Vanilla, but in order for it to work I had to first click on the [pd~] object, which opened a dialog that allowed me to choose the Pd Application.
Now, it seems I have to do this every time, which is bad...
I couldn't also open the help file example "pd-subprocess.pd" from the helo file message, I had to use [openpanel] to find this file, so this is also something else we need to fix and improve.
But testing that file seemed good and alright :) (Yay). What I think that we need to do is offer a new help file just for plugdata. I could even maybe edit the original one and offer an example for plugdata? not sure...
Now, I haven't tested in plugin mode, maybe it already works like that? Seems like nothing would be on the way, so... yeah I guess. If not, let's make it work :)
Anyway, this is really really cool and exciting, as it allows us to open ANY external in plugin mode, and also in standalone mode (think of other GUI externals that haven't been ported yet, whatever).
Cool
Way cool
